Pictorial Offset Corporation has been named a Green Power Partner by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Through this accomplishment, Pictorial will significantly reduce the risks associated with climate change by supporting technologies that are more sustainable for business and communities. Through the Green Power Partnership, Pictorial will decrease significantly the quantity of greenhouse gas emissions.
Currently, 100% of Pictorial’s energy is being generated by wind power through the purchase of Solar Renewable Energy Certificates. By supporting renewable energy sources through green purchases, Pictorial estimates it will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 6,000 metric tons annually. This is equivalent to avoiding greenhouse gas emissions from over 1,000 vehicles each year, or CO2 emissions from over 600,000 gallons of gasoline consumed, or CO2 emissions from over 13,000 barrels of oil consumed yearly. This advances Pictorial’s preeminent role in the industry, representing another step forward in environmental sustainability.
