It’s an entrepreneurial success story to inspire the masses. For Lobo Bielich, Owner of Sir Speedy Miami, it’s reality. After becoming intrigued with the idea of owning a printing firm, and after much research and hard work, Sir Speedy Miami was established 23 years ago and has been at its new location for nine years.

While attending a local show years ago, Bielich saw a cool envelope printer that caught his—and a large crowd’s—eye: the Xanté Ilumina Digital Envelope Press (DEP). Noticing the demand and need for quick-run, full-color in the marketplace and seeing how easy it was to operate, he purchased what would come to be a game changer and relationship builder for his business.

Xanté’s Ilumina GS Digital Envelope Press is a complete high-production digital color solution that allows printers to meet the demand for fast full-color printing. Featuring high definition color technology, the renowned iQueue Color Smart workflow, high volume feeders/delivery conveyors, and more, the Ilumina Digital Envelope Press GS delivers fast full-color envelopes, sheets and cards and provides full-color printing on a wide variety of media and sheet sizes.
The Ilumina DEP produces up to 60 color envelopes per minute and variable data at full speed. The high capacity feeder holds up to 1,000 envelopes or 4,000 sheets of 20-lb. bond, and boasts an adjustable speedy delivery conveyor. The Ilumina DEP can handle card stocks up to 14-pt. sheets and banners to 13x47".
Variable Data Capability

One of the biggest features of the Ilumina that captured customers’ interest was the ease and accessibility of variable data printing (VDP). With the Ilumina, Bielich could offer companies a package deal at a price that was previously unheard of. Non-profits have gravitated to working with Sir Speedy Miami because of Bielich’s ability to think outside the box and offer them so much more with Xanté’s feature-rich technology.

The Ilumina DEP, Bielich says, has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. “At Sir Speedy Miami, we strive to meet the demands of everyone—even if it’s not a job that’s a money maker for us. We want the community to be able to rely on us and know we’ll do whatever we can to help them get their jobs done.”

It’s the “out-of-the-box” thinking when using the Ilumina that has not only saved the day for some local customers, but has really boosted relationships and good standing in the community for Sir Speedy Miami. “The Ilumina’s been a problem solver, a market creator, and a money saver,” says Bielich. “The Ilumina gets your foot in the door to other business. We’re in markets that we never dreamed we’d be servicing.”
Up Front Appeal

The powerhouse workflow behind it all is Xanté’s iQueue Digital Color Workflow. iQueue allows users to manage multiple digital files, set job priorities, track run counts, monitor consumables, estimate job cost and increase overall shop production and print quality.
Xanté’s iQueue provides more precise control over the quality of printing, combined with the control that Sir Speedy Miami already has with the high quality of Xanté’s Ilumina DEP technology. Bielich reports that he can get an extra 5,000 copies out of his consumables with iQueue simply by adjusting color control settings, for example, which is significant in today’s market.
The company has also become synonymous with exemplary customer service and support. “I have nothing but praise for those on the service team,” he says. “I feel like they’re a part of my team; I really get that sense. This machine has been long paid for and they continue to keep providing me with over-the-top service.”
