The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) announced Farnell Packaging Limited of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia has achieved SGP certification.
Farnell Packaging, established in 1961, is a family-owned and operated business providing high-quality, innovative flexible packaging solutions. Farnell Packaging manufactures and distributes leading-edge flexible packaging materials and provides guidance with related equipment solutions. Nearly two-thirds of Farnell Packaging's packaging is used in the food industry with the balance used in markets for tissue, personal care, horticulture, and other industrial applications.

Recognizing the opportunity to seek SGP certification resulted in the creation of a cross-functional energy team, the opportunity to develop leaders and participate in project work that has resulted in growing revenue while reducing the annual electrical consumption by more than 156,00 kWh."
