SBR Technologies and Universal Color Graphics announce the sale of UCG to SBR
SBR Technologies and Universal Color Graphics have announced the sale of UCG to SBR, effective August 1, 2016.
SBR Technologies and Universal Color Graphics (UCG, a Las Vegas, Nevada company) have announced the sale of UCG to SBR, effective August 1, 2016.
The acquisition will be mutually beneficial, providing UCG with new, extensive solution offerings and production capabilities including UV, solvent & dye sublimation, latex, and photographic. SBR will gain a footprint in the print-hungry Las Vegas market with a fully-staffed office, offset print capabilities and an existing catalog of business.
“We were excited to add Universal Color Graphics to our company,” said Guy Timothy, president of SBR Technologies and Vision Graphics. “We are poised for aggressive growth and this acquisition is an important piece of our expansion plans. Our Vision Graphics brand is well known in the large and grand format market. We’re a powerful solution provider for event graphics and the kinds of extreme graphic work that is visible everywhere in the Las Vegas entertainment market. ”
UCG has served the Las Vegas market for 10 years, with a focus on commercial offset printing. UCG will undergo a re-branding and will be included under the Vision Graphics brand.
According to Timothy, “The commercial graphic production industry has evolved and it is critical to have a local presence in your market’s backyard. The market is too competitive to try to maintain a long-distance relationship.”
Vision Graphics will expand its delivery footprint to regularly include markets between Logan and Las Vegas, allowing for a higher level of service to businesses along the I-15 corridor. The Las Vegas location will become the third Vision Graphics property.
