The storied C.J. Krehbiel Company (dba as CJK Print Possibilities), has been acquired by BR Printers of San Jose, California.

Established in 1872, the fifth generation business owned by the Krehbiel family, has a long history of providing a personal touch to the printing, binding and mailing of four-color bound documents such as books, catalogs, manuals, weeklies and magazines.

“CJK’s print and finishing capabilities extend and complement BR’s digitally enabled book manufacturing platform,” says Adam DeMaestri, President and CEO of BR Printers, “we look forward to collaborating with CJK leadership and employees.”

The 180,000 square foot Cincinnati based production facility provides a full-service all-inclusive suite of 4-color book printing, binding and packaging solutions—well equipped to handle short run print-on-demand titles to first edition long runs or mid-range quantity reprints.

By offering a wide variety of printed products, attentive customer service and years of industry experience, BR and CJK excel at delivering custom publishing solutions.

Tim Ruppert, the CEO of The C.J. Krehbiel Company, stated the following: “The Krehbiel family is very excited about CJK becoming an important piece of the ever growing family of companies under the BR Printers umbrella. CJK has worked with BR for several years on many customer projects, and we have always been impressed. Regarding the great team here at CJK, we are very grateful to all CJK employees who have been such a big part of CJK’s history. Looking ahead, what is most important is BR’s commitment to helping CJK continue to expand operations in our Cincinnati facility. We are extremely pleased that CJK’s hard-working loyal employees will continue to have a strong future as part of the BR Printers team.”

The combined companies provide a valuable and strategic resource for publishers.
