Xeikon to Introduce TITON New Heat-Resistant, Food-Safe Dry-Toner Technology at Label Expo Americas 2022
Booth will feature UV inkjet and dry-toner technology for label printing applications.
Xeikon America, Inc., a division of Flint Group and a long-standing leader and innovator in digital printing technology has announced that it will return to Label Expo Americas this September 13 - 15 in Rosemont, IL. Label Expo Americas is the premier North American show for the latest technologies and solutions for labels and printed packaging.
The Flint Group/Xeikon booth (#5703) will promote two technologies for label printing applications, their Panther technology for UV inkjet, which is the best choice for durable and health and beauty labels, and their Cheetah technology for dry-toner applications, ideal for high-quality wine and spirits and food labels.
To meet industry needs for sustainable printing methods and environmentally friendly packaging production, Xeikon is introducing its TITON technology, a new toner formulation offering all the benefits of UV inks without the disadvantages.
According to Donna Covannon, Director Marketing North America, “Xeikon is thrilled to be back at Labelexpo Americas and pleased to introduce the market to our groundbreaking TITON technology, among other technologies focused on providing efficiencies for converters.”
Visitors to Xeikon’s exhibit at the show will see Xeikon’s TITON samples produced on Xeikon’s Cheetah technology. TITON is food safe and with any additional protective layers provides heat, sunlight, water, scratch, and scuff resistance. Additionally, it does not migrate through substrates and can be readily removed from paper products during the recycling process. Xeikon’s “Do More with Less” program will also be featured in the booth. This program is designed to help users optimize their productivity with tangible ideas on how to tackle the challenges converters are facing in today’s marketplace.
Other highlights of the Xeikon exhibit at the show include new metallic silver and gold toners, and haptic printing. These new metallic toners allow converters to add metallic embellishments without the need for conventional processes like flexo and hot foil, which can add production complexity and costs. Haptic printing is a unique combination of the Xeikon X-800 workflow and the PantherCure UV ink which generates a tactile layer, creating a “haptic effect” in print. Key benefits of this include eliminating the need to make modifications to prepress files.
Those interested in obtaining printed samples using TITON technology and other proven samples are encouraged to visit Xeikon’s booth #5703 at the show or visit https://xeikon.com/en/contact to have printed samples mailed.?
