Week One of FSEA Online Spring Summit Opens Wednesday, April 28
Week One Features Two Hours of Content on Print Decorating & Sustainability
Week One of the Foil & Specialty Effects Association’s Online Spring Summit opens on Wednesday, April 28. To be held virtually, the FSEA Online Spring Summit will appeal to a wide segment of the print community: graphic designers, brand owners, commercial printers, print finishers and binders.
Week One – Print Decorating & Sustainability – features an update on the FSEA study Repulping of Foil Decorated Paper, plus a panel of experts discussing metallic decorating and sustainability and an interview with Phil Rieber, Sustainable Paper Group. The panel includes Eric Longnecker, Diamond Packaging; Mike King, Eagle Systems; Rob Watts, McClean Packaging; and Scott Tacosik, Kurz Transfer Products.
Week One will answer questions such as:
- What does “recyclable” really mean when we talk about foil decorated paper and board?
- How much metal is actually contained in foil, and does that lead to problems with repulpability?
- What are brand owners asking for, and what do recyclers say?
The FSEA Online Spring Summit: Add Value to Print will be held for two hours each day, one day per week, from April 28 through May 19. Each weekly event will have a distinct programming theme.
Week One (April 28): Print Decorating & Sustainability
Week Two (May 5): Metallic Decorating Design & Troubleshooting
Week Three (May 12): Binding and Finishing Design & Troubleshooting
Week Four (May 19): UV Coating Design & Troubleshooting
