Presstek has unveiled the six-page Presstek 75DI digital offset press offering high quality (300 lpi or stochastic screening), extreme automation (six minute makeready, including platemaking) and a small environmental footprint with waterless printing and chemistry-free on-press imaging.

The Presstek 75DI press has a maximum print speed of 16,000 sheets per hour, a maximum paper size of 31.02x23.62 inches, a minimum paper size of 10.98x7.87 inches and a maximum print area of 29.53x22.83 inches. Offset stocks ranging from 0.0016-inch to 0.024-inch thick are supported.

The 75DI’s next-generation imaging technology utilizes a single lens imaging concept in which all laser diodes image through a single lens, resulting in improved image quality and even easier makeready. The press’ efficiency is further enhanced by a simultaneous imaging and cleaning process that optimizes the makeready time between jobs.

This tower press is available in 4- to 10-colors plus an optional coater, with a wide range of options.

The Presstek 75DI press is the ideal complement for shops with larger conventional offset presses who need to extend the range of applications they can produce, make shorter runs more profitable and maintain the high level of quality that will ensure their ability to remain competitive, reports the company. It is also complementary to production level digital toner-based presses that can be expensive to operate for runs of 500 sheets or more. Presstek DI presses provide the bridge for high quality, profitable print for run lengths from 500 to 20,000 impressions.
