PURBlue 4 Slug Melter

Nordson Corporation (Booth 4407) is showcasing its PURBlue 4 slug melter, designed for efficient, effective processing of the low volumes of reactive PUR adhesives needed for short-run digital print jobs. The ability to easily and proficiently use PUR adhesives is particularly important in digital printing as the fuser oils, inks, and toners commonly used can impair the binding quality of some other adhesives. Start-up and shutdown are simple with user friendly controls and graphic indicators. Melt-on-demand processing along with the adjustable force piston reduces adhesive waste while increasing productivity.

With the EP48 spine gluing application head, the PURBlue 4 melter creates a closed adhesive system to improve production processes and finished book quality of perfect bound books. Nordson spine glue systems can be incorporated into most new or existing single or multi-clamp binders.
